This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped
in cloths and lying in a manger. – Luke 2:12
God’s greatest sign of His love for us was placed in the body of a baby, Jesus, the One who would save his people from their sins. This sign of God’s Love was illuminated in the birth, life, death and resurrection of the Savior of the world. This is our assurance and confidence.
God reveals Himself and his will throughout scripture using various signs: a rainbow, a stick turned into a snake in Sinai, a fire consuming the offering on Mount Carmel, the signs and wonders of the church in Acts and many more.
God’s continued redemptive activity in our world is revealed in many signs. This letter notes just some of those signs in Venezuela. The signs are in feeding the hungry, preaching the gospel to the poor, healing the sick, caring for widows and orphans, planting churches, miracles and signs and wonders, teaching, discipling and mentoring new Christian leaders and more.
You can read about many of these below, if you have further interest.
But right now at year-end the signs point to these critical needs:
$15,000 – complete the construction of new Seminary dorms and offices.
$10,000 – furnish a small laboratory for the Medical Center.
$6,000 – complete the development of Panorama, pre-seminary online education.
Of course we always need folks to sponsor a seminary education, $1,200/year, give one class for one student for $25, provide 100 medical exams for $50, feed 250 people soup for $25.
So every gift makes a huge impact in the most economically distressed country in the Western Hemisphere.
