Dr. Maria Pirona (pictured here with her husband and co-pastor, Carlos) is a pediatrician, a graduate of the Seminario Wesleyano de Venezuela, holds a Doctorate in Sociology and has a passion for these young girls and their children. She has established a Medical Non-Profit through which she is offering hope to at-risk girls, woman and children.
EPIDEMIC IN VENEZUELA: Babies having babies! The youngest in the State of Lara was 11 years old. Most of these young girls are very poor, sexually molested and abandoned. They have little or no education, no means of livelihood (except a very small guvernment stipend) and no hope. STD’S and AIDS are rampant. There is little or no access to birth control or medical care.
